Meet the Makers

When the night fades, the first light of dawn announces a new beginning. Every day has its dawn, but Bengalis wait the whole year for one very special morning—the magical autumn dawn that brings Maa Durga home.

That morning is unlike any other—filled with the fragrance of incense, the sight of kash flowers, and the warmth of devotion. It is when Maa enters every temple, every household, and above all, every heart. On this dawn, it is not only the sun that rises—cities, villages, love, faith, and tradition all awaken together.

In this age of screens, where many priceless moments are fading, we look back at the roots that shaped us and the silent heroes who kept this festival alive. This year, our presentation is a tribute to them.

The vision of this Dawn has been brought to life by Sushovan Roy, whose thoughtful planning and artistic decoration weave together tradition and imagination.
The play of light and shadow that makes the morning truly come alive has been crafted by Soumen Haldar, whose artistry turns illumination into poetry.
At the heart of it all stands the idol, lovingly created by Dipen Mondal, whose hands give form to divinity and breathe life into Maa herself.

This autumn dawn, through their creativity, we rediscover not only our culture and heritage but also the unseen hands and hearts that make the festival what it truly is.

Let this journey begin in the light of a beautiful dawn…
