Theme 2025 - ভোর (Dawn)
The night slips away. The air grows still.
And then comes the first light of ভোর—dawn.
Every day begins with a morning, but for Bengalis there is one dawn that the heart waits for all year—the first autumn morning when the Mother returns. It is no ordinary sunrise. It arrives with the scent of kashphool drifting in the breeze, the sound of conch shells echoing through lanes, and the deep rhythm of dhak announcing her arrival.
It is the moment when Durga steps once more into her baper bari—her father’s home—into our homes, our temples, our hearts. This year, our theme celebrates that timeless dawn.
ভোর is more than sunlight breaking across the sky—it is the awakening of love, tradition, and devotion. It is also our way of remembering the countless hands and voices that quietly kept this festival alive—the dhakis whose drums carried the call of the Mother, the singers who passed Agomoni songs from voice to voice, the artisans who shaped clay into divinity. In today’s world, when moments slip away too quickly, we turn back to them.
In this dawn, we rediscover who we are—our roots, our culture, and our shared spirit of belonging.
